Work hazards and ill-health
Many workers are worried about the hazards they face in their everyday work and whether they may harm them – hazards such as noise, asbestos, chemicals, heavy loads, repetitive work and so on. Often they do not know who to ask for the information they need.
Many workers are suffering needlessly from injuries or ill-health caused by their work, which could and should have been prevented – ill-health such as deafness, asthma, dermatitis, back strain, repetitive strain injuries. Often they do not realise that it is their work that is to blame.
If you are one of these workers, or if you know someone in this situation, WHAT can help you.
