‘From Hand To Mouth’ is a human-interest story written to coincide with International RSI Awareness Day, which is held on the last day of February each year. RSI’s are repetitive strain injuries that are caused by tasks requiring small, rapid, repeated movements, often whilst maintaining a static posture.
This is a short autobiography of personal experience, covering a small section of life. It was written to help people understand the nature of debilitating injury from computer use. The author’s hope is that repetitive strain injuries from computer use can become a thing of the past, if only employers, educationalists, MP’s and the like could make themselves aware of the dangers, in turn protecting future generations.
‘From Hand To Mouth’, ISBN0-9547113-0-0 is available from 26 February 2004 for £4.99 from Workers’ Health Advice Team (WHAT), UNISON Offices, 2 nd Floor, Auburn House, Upper Piccadilly, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, BD1 3NU Tel: 01274 393949
