A slips and trips seminar took place on 7th July 2011 in the Council Chambers at Braford City Hall. Speakers from the HSE, Bradford Environmental Health and Bradford Communication Workers' gave the following presentations. Click on the links to view and or download the presentations.

A workplace transport safety seminar, which took place on February 8th 2011, looked at the problems around vehicles and lifting equipment at work killing and injuring workers. Topics included safe sites, workplace traffic routes, visibility speed and pedestrians; reversing, parking, loading tipping and avoiding overturns.
Following on from the recent targeted inspections in Bradford the seminar will cover: safe lifting and machinery maintenance. Click on the speakers names below to download their presentations.
We held a seminar during European Health and Safety Week on 28th of October 2010. The theme was Safe Maintainance.
Bradford Area Occupational Health and Safety Forum in association with Enterprise Europe Network organised free event for European Health and Safety Week in Bradford.
The event, had Geoff Cox as a key note speaker from the HSE
Event organiser Jane Howie said “10-15% of all fatal accidents in workplaces in Europe are maintenance related”. “Many accidents happen during maintenance work, many happen because of lack of maintenance and many happen as a result of poor quality maintenance management.”
Workshop leaders includec Jayne Talbot, Health and Safety Manager from Christeyns UK and Ralph Baqar, safety practitioner from Focus Safety. Jayne's presentation.

The latest seminar was about the new 'Fit Notes' that were introduced on the 6th of April 2010. This event is took place at the Impressions Studion, Centenary Square, Bradford on the 28th April 2010.

Seminar 14th of July 2009 exploring the myths around employing people with disabilities presentations can be found below:
Some brilliant videos of Bradford people talking about the barriers to work they have experienced were shown at the seminar. These had been filmed as part of the Employ Disability project. An information pack is to be produced for employers to show best practices in employing people with disabilities and this has been funded by Adult Services.
Below is some information from the seminar that took place on Tuesday 28th April 2009 at the City Hall in Bradford. It was entitled 'After the Inspector Called' and was a follow up on basic H&S issues found during recent joint inspections in Bradford by the HSE and Environmental Health. see below

Working For A Healthier Tomorrow
There iwas a major seminar on occupational health and safety in Bradford on the morning of September 24th entitiled 'Working For a Healthier Tomorrow'. Dame Carol Black, author of a recent review on the health of the working age population will spoke along with representatives of Bradford Council, Bradford and Airedale tPCT,Trades Union and Local Business.
